Real Madrid footballers recorded a routine victory away to Real Sociedad with the result being 2-0 in the 16th round of La Liga.

Real had the opportunity to continue a great series in Spain, but the match did not take place in a great atmosphere for Madrid because Karim Benzema was injured in the early stages of the match and had to leave the field. In the first half, Los Blancos had several opportunities to take the lead, but Sociedad also threatened. There were no goals until the break.

Real Madrid opened the second part of the game brilliantly. Luka Jovic assisted Vinicius Junior who scored for the leadership of the Royal Club. Only ten minutes later, Jovic joined the scorers. The member of the Serbian national team scored after a corner and thus confirmed the victory of his team.

Thanks to amazing defensive work by Militao and great efficiency in the offense from Luka Jovic and Vinicius, the result remained 0-2. Real Madrid has eight points more than second-placed Sevilla and is quite confident on top of the La Liga table.

Real Madrid defeated Athletic Bilbao in the 9th round of the Spanish La Liga with the result 1-0, thus cementing themselves at first place on the table with seven points ahead of their city rival Atletico Madrid.

Real came to victory thanks to the incredible Karim Benzema, who scored for 1-0 in the 40th minute, which was his 12th goal this season. In addition, it is worth mentioning that he recorded seven assists and is currently the best player in the Spanish La Liga without a rival. The team from Bilbao could have scored a goal and secure one point, but Sancet in the 76th minute and Vesga in the 85th minute were not accurate.

After this game, Los Blancos remains at the top of the table with 36 points, seven more than Atletico Madrid, which have one game less. In the next match, the Royal Club will play against Real Sociedad, which is third on the table with 29 points, and this will certainly be a real test for Carlo Ancelotti’s team for this part of the season.

Real Madrid defeated Sevilla in the 15th round of the Spanish La Liga with the result 2-1.

In an exciting match at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the guests took the lead in the 12th minute. Marcos Acuna took the corner, and Rafa Mir snuck the ball past Thibaut Courtois with his head from 12 meters for the lead of Sevilla. It took Real 20 minutes to equalize, and they came to it thanks to a big mistake by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou. Eder Militao shot from around 30 meters, the Seville goalkeeper reacted badly, as ball went “through his hands” and hit the post. Karim Benzema ran onto the blocked ball and scored for 1-1.

In the continuation of the match, Real Madrid dominated, as great opportunities were missed by Marco Asensio in the 46th and Vinicius Junior in the 70th minute. But, the young Brazillian superstar redeemed himself for a miss in the 87th minute with an absolute stunner. Militao found Vinicius with a long ball on the left side, when Vini outscored two players and went on to score an euro goal outside the penalty area.

At the end of the match, Sevilla could have reached an equalizer after a corner, but Thomas Delaney’s shot was miraculously saved by Thibaut Courtois.

Sheriff 0-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid avenged their earlier Champions League defeat to Sheriff Tiraspol with a decisive 3-0 victory on Wednesday night at Sheriff’s Stadium.

David Alaba, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema all planted the ball to the net to give Los Blancos three points and officially a spot in coming February’s knockout stage. It was also sweet vengeance for the shocking 2-1 loss suffered by Real Madrid against Sheriff at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Carlo Ancelotti went with as strong a starting XI as possible. After early moments of brilliance from Rodrygo and Benzema, Alaba would open the scoring in style on the partial hour mark with a freekick that went blazing over Sheriff goalkeeper Giorgos Athanasiadis.

Moments before half time, the advantage was doubled and again in elegant form, with some quick end setting up from Toni Kroos, who impeccably placed his shot in off the bar with his right foot. The second half saw Real Madrid come out looking to put their hands on Sheriff’s neck and the lead was stretched to 3-0 shortly before the hour mark when Ferland Mendy cut outside and played a pass to Benzema, who also fired in a right-footer.

With the three goal bumper, Ancelotti went to his bench, bringing on Marcelo for Mendy, followed by Lucas Vazquez for Dani Carvajal and Nacho for an injured Alaba. Sheriff didn’t throw in the towel, as they nearly pulled a thing back, with Thibaut Courtois making a save on an Adama Traore’s shot that also led to a Cristiano attempt that hit the post.

That would prove to be the last scoring chance for the home side, as Real Madrid calmly saw out the final twinkles to punch their place in the round of 16.
