Real Madrid players stumbled in the 18th round of the Spanish La Liga, drawing 0-0 at home with Cadiz.
The Cadiz players arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium with only one goal – to keep their net intact. They had 18 percent of possession of the ball and did not send a single shot into Real’s goal, and yet they succeeded in their intention thanks to Jeremias Ledesma.
The 28-year-old Argentine goalkeeper defended brilliantly and is most deserving of the guests reaching the eighth draw of the season. Ledesma defended a total of nine shots from home players, especially in the 56th minute when he stopped Eden Hazard’s shot with his head, and in the 81st minute when he prevented Karim Benzema from scoring the 14th goal of the season.
Despite winning a point, Cadiz remained on the penultimate place in the table, while Real remained the leader of the Spanish championship.
